Of course, some wonderful features include pre-heat capabilities, variable voltage (to adjust your vape sesh to the tempo you like best), and of course as mentioned before you can obtain a wax cartridge atomizer.
One benefit is that the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 could be seen as an excellent way to deliver that same SteamCloud quality while maintaining a lower profile than the SteamCloud Box Mod. Particularly when you feel like you’re going to be using your new dap pen or wax pen outside of the house more than chilling on the couch. Keep your charger around as well as the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 still does not have an indicator light to let you know when you are running low on battery. The Yocan Evolve Plus wax pen is an excellent addition to any vaping arsenal. First of all, the price point is hard to beat. Particularly, pay attention to the battery life and efficient vaporizing with the Evolve Plus. While this vape pen is more of a vape ‘marker’ in terms of size, this allows the battery to be nearly twice that of a typical vape pen battery. You can go a few days without having to worry about a charge with just moderate use. Remember, moderate use. With the unique cap system, the Evolve Plus works a lot like a carb cap on your average, normal rig letting the temperature around the coils to remain hot for a better vaporization process. This is not a bad system.
However, with everything, there are things you may not like as much. For example, as mentioned earlier, the size is more like a ‘marker’ than a ‘pen’. This is not a tremendous difference, but it is something to note for the most discrete of smokers. Again, this isn’t going to be premium quality material either, but the quality isn’t complete garbage considering what you’re paying for it. Let’s start with the fact that this bad boy comes with quad-core technology – meaning that it is packing the powerful hit capacity of two vapes. Not to mention, the materials and temperature control are both top notch and allow you superb control of your vaping experience. This is going to be a must-have for anyone that considers themselves a vape expert. But that leads us to what few cons there are – if you’re an average user you may be better off with something less dense (for lack of a better word). This vape pen is so much like a traditional rig set up that you are getting powerful hits even on the easier settings. Also, with great power comes great responsibility and that means that loading your vape pen on the go is SO much more of a hassle. Make sure to stick with preloading your vape before you go to anyone because the quad-core tech is going to make it even more difficult to do anything on the go (besides, vape, of course).
The micro vape pen is a neat little tool to kick your vaping into high-gear with a small, but powerful, addition to your wax vape pen arsenal. Namely, an obvious bonus is the larger size for those of you who want something bigger and more powerful. This also features quad coil atomizer, an adjustable airflow, and a neat magnetic connection. This is an affordable vape pen that excels in the price category its located in. This is a powerful vape that can produce some storm center sized clouds. Be advised, this vape pen will produce some magma-hot hits if you’re not careful and experienced enough.
The Boundless CF 710 Dab Pen is an absolutely stunning vape. Essentially, these types of wax-focused items are a new design that are referred to as “nectar collectors” or “honey straws” which means that it will be simpler to consume wax by simplifying the wax loading process or getting rid of them altogether. This sounds pretty good so far, right? There’s more. This first for Boundless in the wax department should still boast the same quality that you have come to learn through their other product offerings – we thing it stands up for itself quite well. Most importantly, there is a neat feature that allows you to have a sort of wax vaping ‘session’ for lack of a better term. This means you can vape two ways: traditional, hit the bottom type of vaping, or you can simply hit the power button 3 times and then the vape will continue to heat the wax for 15 minutes. This lets you keep hitting the vape while you’re in the middle of your ‘session’ without hitting the power button all the time. This might seem unnecessary but it can be helpful keeping the temperature of your vape from getting too high and overheating.
The SteamCloud Box mod vape is a great device if this is the sort of thing you’re looking for. There are good options to vape as you please and SteamCloud continues that tradition. One thing to point out is the nice battery size on this particular vape. Can’t laugh off the good power wattage output which is always going to be important when thinking about vaping wax. The temperature controls on this vape are going to be helpful, particularly if you have not much experience keeping your vape from overheating. Overheating your wax vape pen is going to be an terrible way to throw money away.
This could help you decide one over the other. The SteamCloud comes with a reputable list of vape atomizer attachments that lets you vape wax, dry herb, and e-liquid all in the same vape pen. When looking at attachments, the e-liquid is the Kamry X6 Plus (a great product), the wax atomizer attachment is the Yocan Cerum, and the dry herb atomizer attachment is the Yocan 94F. You can also use any 510 thread oil cartridge with the box mod. With this full arsenal of vaping, you can look no further beyond the SteamCloud and satisfy all of your vaping needs. Be careful when switching out attachments on this vape, as the high wattage can be tricky to deal with. Importantly, remember, that this vape comes with a nice screen with plenty of information to help you wade through your vaping session.
All told, this just might be the best vape pen for you if you value versatility and a great degree of control over your smoke. It might not be, however, if you are too unfamiliar with vaping in general and would like something simpler and easier to jump into.
Glass Globe vapes are a cool, eye-popping way to vape and have a good time. Particularly, with a kit, you can avoid the pitfalls of dealing with such a large amount of vulnerable glass. Glass Globe vapes tend to have a large capacity and have less clogging problems that traditional vape pens of other types. The larger amount of space leaves you with more capacity, naturally, but also leaves more space for the vapor to travel through. This doesn’t mean you should be less vigilant with maintenance but it certainly means that you will worry significantly less about clogs. More to the point, it is nice working with a product that centers around glass – an often ‘cleaner’ product than using vapes with plastic near the heating coil or element. The battery is a bit stronger than other vapes which is always helpful – especially for the larger capacity.
This is going to be one of your smaller Yocan vapes, which is not to say that it is the worst, but you should keep that in mind. The brand, however, produces many good devices (a few on this list) and so it is worth looking over. There is a good deal of concealment due to the smaller size and this is never a bad thing. However, if you prefer something ‘meatier’ to hold onto you might want to check out the YocanEvolve Plus or Evolve Plus XL. The vape clouds that come out of this pen are not going to be your best but again this is a good deal/bargain vape pen that will serve you well. Temperature control is another nice feature.
Moreover, it should be noted that the Yocan Hive 2.0can also be used for oil. This adds to the overall usefulness of this scrappy vape pen. While this is not always the most pertinent, we believe that users should have the most information at their fingertips to make a more informed, better decision regarding the best wax vape pen for themselves (particularly if you’re currently vaping oil and are looking for something usable with wax or vice versa). It never hurts to leave more options open.
The Yocan Evolve wax pen is a rather straightforward to use vape and this is always a bonus – nothing to worry about either as a beginner or on the go. Unfortunately, as is a favorite of ours, there is no temperature control. Just make sure to keep an eye out about how long you’re holding down the power button. Overheating is not your friend. A nice feature to help you, however, will be a 10 second heating timer that will shut off the battery once you have reached the time cap. This is not a substitute for caution. The vape cloud quality and vapor is nice, certainly not below average. Battery life is going to be run-of-the-mill and if you are an avid vaper you will definitely need to think about regular charging to keep yourself stocked.
The Crafty Vaporizer is a neat portable vape made by German company Storz & Bickel. Portable, simple, and overall of good quality materials mean you shouldn’t overlook this foreign option. It certainly feels like a much more expensive vape and sometimes this is half the battle. With vents, heat problems can be less likely to occur meaning you have to worry A LOT less about things like overheating your vape. However, be aware, the battery life is not as great as some other vapes on this website. While this certainly should not be considered a grossly negligent feature, if you are a heavy vaper you will want to consider this heavily. A cool feature is a vibrate setting to let you know it is automatically shutting off. However, there may be some disparate opinions about the automatic shut-off timer. Also, of note, there is an app that you can download (complimentary) and use with your vape!
Be aware, though, that this is primarily used as a dry herb vaporizer. This means that while you can certainly use it for wax, understand that the design was built around dry herb. This can be a positive thing (if you or your friends enjoy dry herb as well) or it can be a negative thing (if, for example, you don’t care much for dry herb and feel this to be underpowered to handle the big, waxy hits you prefer). This shouldn’t let you overlook all of the neat features and specifications of the crafty (as noted above) like the downloadable complimentary app, the shut-off features, and the ability to ventilate and further avoid heating issues. Not to mention, the high degree of control you have over the temperature of your hits, among other things, lets you be completely in control of your vaping experience. This vape pen is not something to overlook and should be considered carefully when deciding to invest in a good quality, high return on investment wax vape pen.
The Firefly 2 is a technologically advanced vape that will certainly impress if nothing else. This isn’t to say that it’s the “Best of the Best” just that this has a couple of neat features. Namely, the heating system using convection heat and will only operate when you inhale! This is awesome and can let the vape reach temperatures up to 400 degrees in as little as a few seconds! If that doesn’t impress you, nothing will. This will result in great flavor, less waste, and a smooth hit. However, all of this doesn’t mean it’s perfect. First off, price range. Someone has to pay for all this tech advancement, right? Moreover, because of the unique system of heating and the ‘smoothness’ you might find yourself thinking “this isn’t what I wanted”. That’s ok, and should be taken into account when thinking about purchasing this vaporizer.
Keep in mind that this is also available as a dry herb vaporizer. Once again, while the focus of these reviews is to find you the best wax vape pens of 2019, you will be better off knowing the full capabilities and versatility. Primarily, if you prefer versatility in your vapes, this is something to look out for. Or, if you have a group or partner that prefers dry herb over wax, this can be useful as an option to keep everyone included and involved. However, the fact that this vape pen can be used for dry herb and wax does not mean that its ability to provide strong, consistently smooth wax hits is diminished.
The Pulsar APX Wax Vaporizer is another good vape for compact, affordability. At 3.5 inches tall this is one tiny vape! We know that this doesn’t appeal to everyone but it has to be said. There is no temperature control and, unlike its dry herb cousin, only one temperature setting that you’ll find. This, again, can be seen as a bonus or something you don’t worry about too much. The battery life is ok and this vape does not let its small size get in the way of being relatively powerful. So, watch out! It is recommended, as always, to let yourself have a full charge to ensure satisfaction. Overall, this is not a bad vape to own and should certainly be considered.
An important thing to note is that this is a box mod vape. This means that, like the SteamCloud, you can attach various different atomizers, etc. This is important to note because, unlike the vape pens, you will have far more control over what it is you are vaping. This will also ‘complicate’ things if you are looking for a simple vape to just use as provided. This is really just a matter of how much of an investment you would like to make into your vaping habits. If you simply want something to just ‘grab and go’ without much thought about additional attachments than that is fine.
You guessed it, this vape pen is certainly the epitome of utilizing magnets! This includes magnetic mouthpiece parts as well as a magnetic loading tool (cool, honestly) to give you an interesting, refreshing wax vaping session. All this newfangled magnetism is not without justification – the Yocan Magneto is not a poorly constructed vape. Importantly, this vape does produce good vapor and is a joy to use. While you will want to be careful with loading the vape to ensure nothing is missing, this could be said of any vape. Keep in mind that with this new loading mechanism there will be hiccups and you may, altogether, absolutely hate it and want for something more traditional. This is absolutely ok and understandable – we are creatures of habit. Just be careful and enjoy responsibly and you will more than likely not be too disappointed. Battery life is not bad and portability is not as good as it could be due to the larger capacity and, therefore, larger size. This should not be a large enough difference to cause you too many problems.
In closing, all of these vapes have their pros and their cons. Noticeably, they will also require you to leverage your own preferences and self-awareness to help you understand what vape will work best for you. Are you more economical? Need something more portable? Or do you want a vape that is more futuristic than most of your friends’ cars? That is all going to be up to you and you should think about every vape purchase carefully to limit whatever buyers’ remorse you may feel (more important than almost anything else).
