We have many different kinds of wax vape pen kits for shatter, crumble and other wax concentrates available here at The Vape Vet Store. The Yocan Evolve Plus is our best selling vape pen because of its dual quartz coil and silicone stash container at the bottom. For those who want the best concentrate pen or a more powerful wax vaporizer, we suggest the Yocan Pandon. It comes with two dual quartz coil heating chambers. That's like vaping two Evolve Plus pens at once. If you want a less expensive vaporizer, such as our Pocket Vape Pen, you can order them with either ceramic or quartz coils and in any color too!
There are also some people who prefer to use both dry herbs and wax with the same vape pen. The Yocan Mak 2-in-1 and AGO G5 Junior are common vape pens to use if you're looking for 2-in-1 functionality.
Quartz coils are viewed as the best wax vape pen coils to use when vaping shatter because it provides the purest taste when comparing it to wick or ceramic. The only disadvantage to using quartz coils is that it takes a little longer to heat up than ceramic or wick.
Our Pocket Vape pen comes with a funnel style ceramic dish with a coil wrapped around a quartz rod. If you want to get even more flavor from your concentrates, you can use our Yocan Evolve or Evolve Plus vape pen. They come with dual quartz coils, which will burn your shatter more effectively. Using a single quartz rod is fine, but if you want to vape more wax at a time, using a dual quartz coil is better. Our Yocan Cerum is probably the best wax atomizer becuase it's fully ceramic and it comes with dual quartz coils.
If you want to get huge vape hits from your wax pen, then try the SteamCloud with a Yocan Cerum wax atomizer. The only other comparable pen is our powerful Yocan Pandon, which comes with two dual quartz coils. In conclusion, quartz coils definitely provide the purest flavor when vaping shatter or other wax concentrates.
Ceramic Coils are very popular vape coils to use when vaping shatter or wax concentrates. Most of the Pocket Vape pen kits sold at Vape Vet Store comes with ceramic coils. Ceramic coils are vape coils wrapped around a ceramic rod. The taste is very pure and ceramic can heat up faster than quartz. Currently, we only carry ceramic coils for our Pocket Vape Pen, but we do plan to come out with more wax atomizers with ceramic coils.
A Wick coil is the first type of vape coil for shatter or wax. A wick coil is a coil wrapped around a cotton wick. Many people still use that type of coil. If you own a Yocan Mak 2-in-1 vape pen, you'll notice the vape coils are wick-style. Another wax vape pen that uses a wick coil is our AGO G5 Wax Pen. There's nothing wrong with using a wick coil. Some people think it hits fine, while others prefer using ceramic or quartz.
The pancake coil is the only other type of vape coil sold for wax vaporizer pens. The AGO G5 and AGO G5 JR are the only pancake coil vape pens you can use for wax. The taste of the shatter or crumble is very pure when using this type of vape coil. If you don't use these vape pens carefully and you're careless with your vape coils.
Using a wax vape pen is pretty easy to use, except for dealing with the substance part. When it comes to using a wax vape pen, it's important that you're using a dab tool to load your shatter in the heating chamber. Make sure that you're scooping a small piece of shatter or wax with your dab tool. Then gently place the shatter onto the vape coil. Once you've loaded a small amount, you can close up the vape pen, press and hold the power button. Finally, after two seconds, you may begin inhaling.
There are a couple types of chargers for wax vape pens. The first type is the micro-USB style which can fit in most portable vaporizer devices. Wax vaporizers such as the Pocket Vape Pen, Yocan Pandon, and Yocan Evolve Plus use this type of charger. Then you have USB chargers with atmos threading or 510 threading. The AGO G5 JR or AGO G5 Wax Pen requires an Atmos threaded USB charger. 510 threaded battery chargers only fit 510 threaded batteries. They look very similar to Atmos threaded chargers, but a 510 threaded battery won't fit in an Atmos Threaded charger.
Cleaning a wax vape pen is never fun. The best thing you can do is continue to heat up your vape coils until all the residual shatter or wax is burned off. Once you've done that, then the only other thing you can do is scrape the walls of the heating chamber. Please be careful with the vape coils. If the dab tool pokes at the vape coils with too much force, it can get damaged. If there is too much residual shatter build-up, then it may be time to buy more vape coils. This is why we usually sell ceramic or quartz coils in packs of 3 or 5.
