The SteamCloud Mini 2.0 is the perfect oil vape battery for those looking for a compact, lightweight battery loaded with features. At under 100g and only two and a half inches long, you barely feel the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 in your pocket. Especially since the cartridges slide into the battery. Its small size doesn’t take away from its merits. The 2.0 version features magnetic connections for ease of use, variable voltage functionality for temperature control, and a wax atomizer for versatility. This little battery has it all and is built to last. We’ll break down the best things about the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 oil vaporizer and then tell you how to use, clean and fix it. Finally, we’ll compare the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 to our other oil and wax vaporizers so you get the best oil and wax vaporizer for your needs.
The SteamCloud Mini 2.0 comes with two magnetic adapters for oil cartridges. Simply screw this adapter onto your cartridges and then you can easily slip the cartridges in or out of the battery. For those of you that like to swap cartridges often, this feature takes the time and hassle out of swapping cartridges. Most users that use multiple cartridges just carry around multiple batteries so they don’t have to swap carts. With the SteamCloud Mini 2.0, you save time and space by only carrying around one battery.
The SteamCloud Mini 2.0 is a powerful battery loaded with features but this doesn’t mean it’s bulky. It weighs less than 100 grams and is even smaller than the SteamCloud Box Mod. Additionally, since the cartridges slip inside the SteamCloud Mini 2.0, and you can easily slide them out, it’s the most portable and compact wax and oil vape around.
Two new features to the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 make it even better than before. It now has variable voltage settings allowing users to control the temperature of the atomizer. You can simply press the power button three times to change the voltage - green for 3.4V, blue for 3.7V, and red for 4.0V. Another awesome feature is the Mini 2.0’s preheat function. Press the power button twice to start a 15 second pre-heat at 1.8V. This isn’t necessary but helps preheat your oil so you get nice, thick clouds without having to take a few pulls first.
The last great new feature on the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 is its ability to vape wax in addition to oil. It comes with a quartz coil wax atomizer instantly turning the Mini 2.0 into a wax vape. It also fits skinny 510 thread oil cartridges. While these are the most common pre-filled cartridges, some manufacturers do make thick 510 thread cartridges that might not fit so make sure to get the standard skinny 510 cartridges. Overall, the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 wax and oil vape is the best option for users looking for a light, compact, full-featured wax and oil vaporizer.
First, you need to charge your SteamCloud Mini 2.0 with the micro USB cable provided. We suggest charging the Mini 2.0 for three hours. Once charged, it’s time to connect an oil cartridge or wax atomizer.
If you treat your SteamCloud Mini 2.0 wax and oil vaporizer right, it won’t require much cleaning. When using it with pre-filled oil cartridges, it will stay clean. If using the Mini 2.0 as a wax vaporizer, always keep it upright, especially right after use. This will prevent any wax from leaking out of the atomizer.
If you do have a leak, turn off the SteamCloud Mini 2.0. You can use rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip to clean the outside of the unit and inside the cartridge slot if necessary.
When using the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 as a wax vape, the coils can buildup residue (especially if using low-grade wax or other concentrates. At this point, we recommend you replace the coil with a new one.
Since each pre-filled oil cartridge has a new atomizer, using the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 as an oil vape can last years without a problem. However, the wax atomizer will burn out over time. If you are using it heavily every day, it may only last a month or two. If you use it less frequently, it will last much longer. Replace the wax atomizer either when it fails to heat or if it starts tasting a bit nasty.
You may also find it hard to get a pull out of the SteamCloud Mini 2.0. If this happens, check to make sure there is no residual oil on the magnetic connector. Also make sure this connector is screwed on completely. Finally, the atomizer in the cartridge might not be working correctly. Try another cartridge and if that works, you should exchange the defective cartridge.

The SteamCloud Mini 2.0 is the best option for users that mainly vape oil and are looking for a compact, convenient vape but also want the option to vape wax. The SteamCloud Mini 2.0 wax atomizer has a single quartz coil, similar to that of the Saber Vape Pen for wax. However, the Saber comes with both quartz coil and ceramic doughnut atomizers. Some users prefer the ceramic doughnut to quartz but we think they provide a similar vaping experience. Both the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 and the Saber will vape wax, but you won’t get massive dab-like hits. If you’re looking for bigger wax rips, check out the Yocan Evolve Plus wax pen which has dual quartz coils. The Yocan Evolve Plus XL vape pen has four quartz coils if you want a true dab experience.
We also have many oil vapes available. If you just want a simple oil vape battery with no extra features, check out our Oil Vape Pen Stylus Battery or 510 Thread Battery. These are a bit more economical and still work great for vaping pre-filled oil cartridges.
If you want a vape pen that can vape wax and oil, you can also check out the rest of our selection of box mods. The slightly larger SteamCloud box mod can provide a bit more power than the mini 2.0 and it can be used with dry herb, wax, oil and e-juice atomizers.
Again, if you’re looking for a light, compact oil and wax vape that is easy to use, yet packed with great features, the SteamCloud Mini 2.0 is for you.
