What’s new in the Flowermate V5 Nano

Flowermate went back to the drawing board and brought us the V5 Nano. This is an upgraded and even more compact version of the Flowermate V5.0X Mini. The removable, compact 18650 battery is one of our favorite upgrades in the V5 Nano. This cool, micro vape has a large range of temperature control and can be set at increments of a single degree so you can lock in your perfect settings. The Flowermate V5 Nano is great for vaping flower but it can also vape concentrates as well.

Compact 2500 mAh 18650 removable battery

The Flowermate V5 Nano has an ultra-compact but fairly powerful 2500 mAh 18650 removable battery. This gives you about 30-45 minutes of vape time. For most, this is sufficient as long as you can charge it every day or two. If you want more vape time or do not like waiting to charge your vape, order a spare battery so you always have a fully-charged battery on hand.

Flowermate V5 Nano Boasts Excellent Temperature Control

Previous Flowermate V5 models had variable voltage but only a few options to choose from. While this is accurate enough for many, it is always nice to have more options. The V5 Nano can be set to the degree from 104 to 446° Fahrenheit. This gives you complete control over the taste and thickness of vapor. Setting the V5 Nano to a lower temperature will deliver a thin, flavorful vapor. Setting it to a higher temperature will get you thicker, heavier vapor. Depending on your dry herbs, different compounds will be released at different temperatures so changing the temperature can completely change your experience. Play around with the settings on different herbs to find out what works best for you.

The versatility of the Flowermate V5 Nano

While the V5 Nano is mainly designed for dry herbs, this micro vape also comes with a concentrate pod. The heating element on the V5 Nano is more powerful than previous models making it ideal to vape both dry herbs and herbal concentrates. How to Use the Flowermate V5 Nano

Unpacking and sterilizing the Flowermate V5 Nano

  1. First, you will need to charge your new vape. Unpack the vaporizer unit and micro USB cable and plug it into a USB charger or computer.
  2. Whenever you get a new dry herb vape, you should sterilize it before loading. Turn the unit on by pressing the power button five times consecutively and set it to the highest temperature using the buttons below the display.
  3. The V5 Nano has a five minute auto-shutoff so repeat this process three times for 20 minutes of sterilization. This will remove any manufacturing residue.

Vaping dry herbs with the Flowermate V5 Nano

  1. Before turning your vape on, remove the mouthpiece and pack finely ground herbs into the dry herb pod and place it into the slot under the mouthpiece. Alternatively, you can place the pod in the vape and then pack it. You can use the included packing tool or a finger to lightly pack the ground herbs before replacing the mouthpiece.
  2. Press the power button 5 times quickly to turn on the Flowermate V5 Nano. The current set temperature will be visible in the LED display. Use the two buttons below this display to adjust the temperature up or down to reach your desired heat setting.
  3. To hit the V5 Nano, simply wait roughly 30 seconds for the display to reach the set temperature and take a pull.
  4. If the vapor tastes burnt or tickles your throat, try setting the V5 Nano to a lower temperature.

Vaping Waxes and Oils with the Flowermate V5 Nano

  1. If you have used your vape recently, make sure to let the installed pod cool before sliding it out.
  2. Place the concentrate pod in the V5 Nano and using a dab tool or dropper tool, load your herbal concentrate into the pod.
  3. If using a liquid, only place a small amount in the pod and make sure to keep the V5 Nano upright to prevent leakage.
  4. Press the power button five times to switch on the vape and set the temperature using the two buttons on the other side of the display.

Maintaining and Cleaning the Flowermate V5 Nano

Cleaning the Flowermate V5 Nano

All dry herb vapes build up residue over time. At this price point, the Flowermate V5 Nano is a quality build and should last a long time if you take care of it. If you clean the herb pod after each use with a small pick tool, you won’t have to do a full clean as often. Both pods and the mouthpiece can be cleaned by soaking them in rubbing alcohol for a minute or two. Use the cleaning brush to remove any excess residue and then rinse or soak them in warm water. Let all parts dry on a towel before replacing them. You can wipe down the outside of the vape with a wet wipe or wet paper towel if needed.

Maintaining the Flowermate V5 Nano

Since the V5 Nano comes with five screens, these should last you awhile. The screens can be used as a filter to prevent you from inhaling particles. In case your screen becomes clogged, you could replace it with a new one. If the battery eventually stops holding a charge for long or if you just want additional batteries, pick up some spare 18650 batteries. You can also find chargers that will charge multiple 18650 batteries so that you can keep a few spare charged batteries on hand. If you clean the pods and mouthpiece regularly, these will last the life of the vape.

How the V5 Nano compares to other Flowermate Vapes

As with any technology, usually the newer the better. The V5 Nano is essentially the newest mini or micro vape from Flowermate. The most similar previous model, the V5.0X Mini is slightly cheaper. However, the V5 Nano has quite a few nice upgrades making the extra change a solid investment. The V5 Nano has a removable battery which makes it easy to swap batteries and it means you will not have to replace the whole vape when the battery eventually dies. The V5.0X Mini has a 1800 mAh battery, smaller than the V5 Nano’s 2500 mAh battery but has almost double the vape time. This explains why the V5 Nano seems to hit better than the V5.0X Mini. There is less fluctuation in temperature while drawing, making the V5 Nano superior. The temperature can also be set between 104 to 446° F on the Nano whereas the Mini has six presets between 355 to 410° F, a much more limited range.

The V5.0S is bulkier than both the V5 Nano and V5.0X Mini, but it is a solid choice if those are a bit outside your budget. The V5.0S only has three temperatures to choose from 385° F, 400° F and 415° F. This vape uses two 18650 batteries to give you an impressive 2.5 hours of vape time. Of course, since the V5 Nano has an interchangeable battery, just pack a few extra if you need the extra time. The V5.0S Mini Pro has the same temperature capabilities as the V5 Nano but does not have a removable battery like the V5 Nano. Overall, the V5 Nano is the best mini/micro vape in the Flowermate V5 line.

Is the V5 Nano The Best Vape For Me?

The V5 Nano is a great value. It is a quality, ultra-compact dry herb vape at an affordable price. It offers excellent temperature control and can also be used to vape concentrates. One of the best features is the removable 18650 battery. This allows you to carry spare batteries and swap whenever the current one dies. If this vape is slightly out of your price range, consider some of the other Flowermate vapes like the V5.0S Mini or Mini Pro.
