If there's one thing the makers of the Flowermate love to do, it's iterate and improve. In less than a year since launching their Flowermate series of vaporizers, the company has responded to much of its customer feedback and offered 3 improved revisions of its core concept, the Vapormax V. The V5.0 Pro is the latest installment, and it is definitely the best.
The V5.0 Pro is the exact same size as the original V5 and V5.0s. Which, are about the size of a 0.75" thick iPhone 4.
Earlier, there was the Flowermate V8. This was an attempt to produce a vaporizer with the longest possible battery life, while also improving the maximum temperature and heat up time. Unfortunately for most, the size of the V8 was simply too large to realistically consider it a portable unit. The V5.0 Pro goes back to the original size of the V that started it all (4" x 2.5" x 0.75"), but brings the same improvements of the V8. Let's take a look at some of those updates.
The original Vapormax V had a set temperature of about 380° Fahrenheit. This was certainly enough to produce vapor, but not as much as other devices which had higher maximum temperatures. The V5.0 Pro now reaches that often-sought 446° F temperature--an important cut-off point, because this is just below the point where herbs will combust. The higher the temperature, the more vapor you get. So, 446°F is just where you want it for the fullest effect.
Another impressive update is a re-engineered heating ceramic heating chamber. It looks the same, but the technology behind the V5.0 Pro's heating chamber and heating element allows it to achieve the max temperature of 446° F (230° C) at just under 30 seconds. This is faster than the V5.0s could reach 415 degrees.
The V5.0 Pro inherits some much-needed updates to the user interface and experience introduced by the V8. First, there's an LCD display that gives you a better since of what's going on. It tells you the following:
So at a glance, you know everything you need to. And controlling the device is much simpler. Gone are the days of holding the power button down to switch temperatures. Naturally, to achieve digital temperature settings, the V5.0 Pro needed a digital form on input. Now, there are two addition buttons, "+" and "-" to control the temperature, and the power button is only used to turn the device on and off.
Power. Plus. Minus. Pretty simple.
Flowermate has made a good assessment of what worked and what needed improvements since the original V5. All of the positives from before are still here. The device contains two, 18650 2600 mAh lithium ion batteries, so it can realistically last you throughout the day, even with moderate-to-heavy use. The hidden, sliding compartments for the mouthpiece and chamber are still there, and the device features a slightly tweaked glass mouthpiece for a bit more comfort as you inhale.
I'm excited every time a new Flowermate arrives. Sometimes the updates are small, but sometimes they're significant. When you add it all up, you really do end up with one of the best vapes out there--especially for the price. Once again, this new entry in the series, the Flowermate Vapormax V5.0 Pro receives the Vape Vet seal of approval and comes highly recommended.
