Fresh herbs vs Vaped herbs vs Combusted herbs

Convection Dry Herb Vaporizer

The Titan 1 is a convection dry herb vaporizer, which means that it does NOT burn the dry herbs and instead bakes the herbs with the hot air. Many vaporizers under $100 are not true, convection vaporizers. Instead of producing vapor, they will produce smoke and the AGO Dry Herb Vaporizer is a good example. Combustion vapes like the AGO have exposed heating elements and heating coils which will ignite your dry herbs and tobacco. You can turn a combustion vape into a convection vape with the use of glass screen filters (which will provide a much-needed barrier between the herbs and coils), but you won't get the amount of vapor you would from a convection vaporizer, like the Titan.

The Titan 1 is a convection dry herb vaporizer and the heating chamber for the Titan 1 is an oven made of ceramic. The heating element is behind the walls of the chamber. So instead of heating coils burning and combusting your herbs, you have essentially have an oven that bakes the herbs without combusting them, (either 360, 380, or 420 degrees Fahrenheit). By making contact with this hot environment inside the ceramic chamber, the herbs release vapors. The higher the heat the faster the vapors form and thicker they can get.

With the Titan 1 dry herb vaporizer, not only do you get real vapor, but you get lots of it. This is thanks to the multiple temperature settings mentioned earlier. The hotter the herbs get, the more vapor they will release. By having temperature settings up to 380 and 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the Titan 1 is able to deliver potent amounts of vapor with each hit. It's important to know that vapor is not as thick as combusted smoke, and it doesn't linger for as long. But this is a good thing! There's less odor in the air and fewer toxins in your body. So you're not looking for huge smoke clouds here, but sizable clouds of vapor (think, exhaling on a cold, dry day outside vs chain-smoking).

Vaping with Great Flavor

Improvements have been made since the initial release of the Titan 1 to significantly improve the flavor of the vapor. Vaping herbs and tobacco is a completely different experience than combusting when it comes to taste. When combusting tobacco and dry herbs, it's going to taste like smoke. There's really no way around it. However, vapor preserves the natural flavor of your herbs. Whether it's a vanilla-flavored tobacco blend or a batch of chamomile, the flavor will transfer straight through to the vapor. However, the material of a vaporizer can also tint the flavor in a certain way. Some vaporizers produce an overall neutral flavor (very little taste), while some may produce an unpleasant taste. The Titan 1 has been designed with a ceramic heating chamber to provide an environment that lets you experience the full flavor of your herbs and herbs only. For the best flavor, start at the lower temperature settings and work your way up.

Also, keep in mind that the Titan 1 is going to bring out the natural flavor of your herbs. Different herbs and tobacco are going to have different tastes, so make sure you're using high-quality herbs and tobacco if you're a flavor-chaser seeking the best results.

Vaping Temperature Settings

Titan 1 Dry Herb Vaporizer Temperature Settings

Because different herbs and tobacco vaporize best at different temperatures, the Titan 1 features 3 temperature settings (now 380, 4000, and 420 degrees Fahrenheit). This lets you choose the temperature that best suits you. And since higher temperatures release more potent vapor, you can always start at a lower setting and work your way up to the last remaining amounts of vapor.

So you can start at 380 degrees, and when the vapor starts running thin, set the chamber to 400 degrees to keep going. Finally, crank it up to 420 degrees to get what's left. Of course, you can always just go straight to 420 degrees, but the vapor will be very thick initially, so brace yourself.

How to Clean the Titan 1 Vaporizer

Some portable vaporizers are known to be high maintenance when it comes to cleaning. The Titan 1 is not one of those vaporizers. Cleaning the Titan 1 is as simple as turning the chamber upside down and giving it a few taps on the side--your herbs should fall right out. The mouthpiece filters will need to be rinsed and washed (or replaced) occasionally, but the actual chamber should remain in tact so long as you empty the chamber after each use and dry your herbs before use. You don't need to, but should you need to clean the actual chamber, a q-tip and some high percentage isopropyl will do the trick.

Titan 1 Vape Battery Life

Like many portable vaporizers, the Titan 1 is the battery life is decent and just about average for the industry. Because the higher temperature setting requires more power, you're looking at about a little over an hour of use if you stick to the 420-degree setting. This wouldn't be quite as noticeable, but it does require about 3 hours to fully charge the Titan 1. A select few vaporizers can get up to an hour and a half or two hours at similar temperatures. While the Titan 1 can last this long on the lower temperature settings, at the highest setting you will not. Luckily, to charge the device, all you need is a micro USB cable (fairly common among smartphones and other electronic devices these days), so should you have access to one, you should be able to charge your Titan 1, even if you're not home. You can also use the device while it's charging (something that not every portable vaporizer can do), so you aren't held back by the battery.

Portable Titan 1 Vaporizer

Highly portable, it is called a portable vaporizer for a reason, but even among vaporizers with this classification, the Titan 1 is one of the more portable options. The Titan 1 is mostly cylindrical in shape and under an inch diameter. The total length with the mouthpiece on is 5.25 inches--so this device is ready and able to fit in your pocket so that you can take it anywhere on-the-go.
