While the manner in which these units function has more or less remained the same, the technology has become much more user-friendly and simple over the years. Wax atomizers are what is used inside the popular wax vape pens to properly take a mobile dab from a pen. At the most basic level, a vape pen is a battery-powered device that is made up of four main parts: the tank, atomizer, sensors, and the battery. Basically, the atomizer is the mechanism that provides the heat for the concentrate or wax being used.
For a wax pen to work normally, the oils placed upon it should be liquid enough and the wax thin enough to where it can be heated to the appropriate temperature without combusting. If you regularly vape or dab at the wrong temperatures you could be wasting wax and missing out on much better tasting and more potent hits. Inside of the wax pen is the atomizer, a metal coil with a glass fiber or cotton wick system similar to those found inside of e-cigarettes. Unscrewing a pen's mouthpiece reveals the atomizer, which includes the chamber where the concentrate is placed. A dab tool is used to place wax on the tray or dish, being careful not to scrape or damage the coil during the loading process if it is exposed. Once loaded, replace the mouthpiece or screw and turn the unit on by clicking the power button five times, or however many your piece requires, consecutively. Inhale while pressing the power button (as this activates the heating coil) until the light heats up or until you are satisfied with the hit.
Wax atomizers are also used with box mods to create more power and bigger clouds. Using a wax attachment with your mod can make it more versatile than a majority of mods, and give you the option of using either regular e juice or your favorite concentrate. Most atomizers come with a 510-thread connector so that it can fit almost any model vaporizer, giving you more options to mix and match with different brands, materials, and coils without purchasing an entirely new vape.
The main difference in wax atomizer pens that burn very hot is the type of material they are built to burn, and the temperature capabilities the coils and batteries are able to produce and subsequently handle. The main difference between a wax pen and a vape pen intended for nicotine consumption boils down to the material that you place upon it. They both function largely in the same way, but it is important to keep in mind that there are special dry herb vaporizers that are specifically made as a vape for flower and perform much better using them, while others do better with oils or concentrates. So what is the difference between single vs dual coil configuration? Is one better than another? The simplest way to explain this is that it all depends on your preferences, and although each has its own pros and cons, it all comes down to how you vape. Dual coil configuration works exactly the same way as a single coil configuration, the only difference is that the power is split between two coils instead of one. In other words, power is delivered to two separate coils, which transfer heat to the concentrate to vaporize it. Dual coil configuration typically produces a higher amount of vapor due to the increased surface area of the coils. The reason for that is the amount of contact area between e-juice and coils, which if larger will, in turn, create a larger cloud. The most commonly used types of double coils are quartz do to the more hardy and heat-retaining capabilities the material possesses.
Overall, dual coil configurations tend to deliver the same amount of vapor in a shorter time, so if you rip your vape for the same amount of time after installing dual coils you will get much bigger clouds. This type of design is better for more seasoned vapers who want larger clouds. This design is only for new vapers who enjoy taking shorter rips.
