Recently, there has been an explosion of vape pens and portable vaporizers, all with varying degrees of quality and price tags. It can be a bit overwhelming narrowing down the selection to the right one. While some of the greats definitely deserve their popularity and price, not every vaporizer needs to cost $250 to get the job done.
The E-Clipse Dry Herb Vaporizer is considered the top portable dry herb vaporizer in the industry. This super small vape can be taken anywhere and it heats up within 30 seconds too. If you compare this to an Apex, it's much smaller and heats up to the desired temperature much faster. On top of that, you can adjust the digital temperature to exactly the temperature you want.
Why this Dry Herb Vape is recommended?
The Yocan Evolve Plus is everyone's favorite wax vape pen right now. You can store your shatter in a dab container attached to the bottom of the vape pen. The dual quartz coils make your shatter or wax taste fresh and delicious. For only $49.99, this is the best vape deal you're gonna get for this wax vaporizer kit.

The Stoner Joe Dry Herb Vaporizer is one of the coolest brands out right now. Stoner Joe the Bunny has finally come out with his own dry herb vaporizer. It heats up almost as fast as the E-Clipse vaporizer and a lot faster than the Apex vaporizer or Apex Pen 2.0. The heating chamber is made of only ceramic, whereas the Apex vaporizer and Apex Pen 2.0 have stainless steel heating chambers. When buying a new vape pen, it's really important you understand how vape pens are different.
The vape pen's design makes it look cosmetically prettier than the Apex Pen 2.0. The digital temperature control makes this vape pen more customizable like the E-Clipse and Apex Pen 2.0.

This is arguably the best portable vaporizer on this list if you like taking dab hits on the go. It's definitely the best Yocan Vape Pen we've used. The Yocan Pandon has two dual quartz coils connected to the battery so you can take double the vape hits. Not only that, but you can change the voltage easily too. The Yocan Evolve Plus is awesome because it has a dab container attached to the bottom, but the Yocan Pandon is straight up the most powerful and delicious wax vaporizer on this list.

The Apex Pen 2.0 is the new and improved Apex Vaporizer. It has digital temperature control, whereas the Apex only had three temperature settings. It's easy to use and will stay heated for up to 7 minutes so that you can enjoy every vape session. Most of our customers say that this is defiitely an improvement to the Apex, but it isn't nearly as good as the E-Clipse and Stoner Joe vaporizer.

This is one powerful vape mod. You don't even need to buy a dab rig anymore. While it may be super small, this box mod comes with a fully ceramic wax atomizer (Yocan Cerum) with dual quartz vape coils inside. The suggested wattage for this atomizer is between 15-25 watts. If you go over 25 watts, you might damage the coil. So be careful. That being said, take one hit and you will get the best taste of shatter you've ever had. When you use this vape mod, it definitely competes with taking huge dab hits out of a rig.

The Apex vaporizer was one of the first sub $100 vaporizers that truly vaporized herbs (not just combusted them) and it's still one of the best. Like the Pax by Ploom, the Apex features 3 temperature settings ranging from low (380 degrees), medium (400 degrees), and high (420 degrees) to give you a range of vapor thickness.
The Apex is also extremely easy to use and clean. There is no exposed heating element, so you simply load your herbs, vape, and dump them out when you're done. No crazy cleaning, no glass screen accessories--just vape and enjoy.
The Flowermate Vapormax v5.0s is truly a great product. It feels like a strong quality product in your hand, has the battery life to easily last all day and comes with 3 ideal temperature settings (385 degrees, 400 degrees, and 415 degrees) so that you can achieve a perfect vaping experience.
At $99.95, this is one of the best deals around!
The V5.0 Pro inherits some much-needed updates to the user interface and experience introduced by the V8. First, there's an LCD display that gives you a better look of what's going on. It tells you the following:
So at a glance, you know everything you need to. And controlling the device is much simpler. Gone are the days of holding the power button down to switch temperatures. Naturally, to achieve digital temperature settings, the V5.0 Pro needed a digital form on input. Now, there are two additional buttons, "+" and "-" to control the temperature, and the power button is only used to turn the device on and off.
No list would be complete without a good option for concentrates. Herbal vaporizers are becoming increasingly innovative (and sometimes increasingly more expensive), but when it comes to concentrates, it seems that the simple, tried and true method of heating coils and wicks still works best.
So why get the ExGo II if these types of vaporizers are all the same? Because the ExGo II features TWO wicks and TWO coils, and that seems to make all the difference. Doubling the number of wicks and vape coils doubles the amount of heat and the amount of concentrate the vape pen can handle. And the more concenrate your vape pen can handle at once, the less risk there is of clogging the chamber and needing to replace the coils.
So the ExGo II doubles what's possible at about half the price of other vape pens for wax concentrates.
Ok, big disclaimer first: the Yocan 94F is not a true vaporizer--it is in the category of vape pen (which have exposed heating coils and do not truly vaporizer without the use of glass screens or mesh screens). Luckily, you can get custom-fitted glass screens that cover the entire base of the 94F's large chamber. This helps produce vapor instead of combusted smoke.
But, let's back up to that large chamber. The 94F has one of the largest chamber of any vape pen out there. Period. If you're completely content with combusting, then you're in for a real treat. You can pack this bad boy to the brim and get many great hits from a single pack. The mouthpiece even pushes down and acts as a built-in packing tool to help get all your herbs closer to the coils.
And if you're not into combusting, you can still get good vapor hits thanks to the custom-fitted glass screens.
So that's the list. There will always be a place for the Pax and Da Vinci Ascents of the world, but if you're looking for some great, affordable vaporizer options at the sub $150 (and even sub $100) price range, these are the best vaporizers you'll want to look out for. In case you aren't very familiar with vaporizers in general, below are some articles that can help you make a better purchasing decision.
